Ayrshire Wedding Photographer – Dunoon & Moorpark House Hotel

Saturday morning, a lovely late spring day on the 12th May 2012 I headed for the wedding of Neil & Paula @ Dunoon Parish Church. With the Clyde being nice and calm it was a pleasant sailing on the ferry and once across and in Dunoon I headed to meet up with Paula. The weather was looking really good, but alas it didn’t last and we had some showers of rain. The church is typically warm and inviting with a lovely stained glass window at the far side. Unfortunately the minister was quite untypical by being old school and therefore during the ceremony I was banished to the balcony :(

After the ceremony we didn’t waste much time and headed off to the Moorpark House Hotel, Kilbirnie. All in all it probably took about an hour but at least when we arrived we were in for some brilliant sunshine:)

This was a first time for me, we done the cake cutting on the stair landing! very strange!

Here are a few images from the day, which I would add it was a pleasure to work with Paula and Neil, who were quite chilled out, relaxed and great to work with (even after finding out the cake had been knocked over!!)

Rome – The Collosseum at night

The Collosseum has probably been photographed every which way and at night, here are my few taken about 9 p.m. on 15th April 2012. I am sure I could have went at 4 a.m. and there would still have been people about:)

The great Collosseum was started about 72AD and it was capable of seating 50 000 spectators!!! That is just an incredible capacity back then, can you imagine what it must have been like full, whew!!

Rome Street Artist

We were in Rome from 12th to 17th April 2012 and whilst spending a day in the Spagna area I stumbled across this young street artist. Seeing he was getting ready I had a chat with him, well it was more sign language but we did manage to understand each other and he allowed me to take some shots.

Starting with a blank piece of card, some spray paint, a little fire and a bucket full of imagination with heaps of talent he set about his street master piece.

Bravo Signore, ben fatto!!!

Ayrshire Wedding Photographer – Eglington Arms Hotel, Eaglesham

Ayrshire wedding photographer – Easter Sunday 8th April I headed for the wedding of Andy & Melanie @ the Eglington Arms Hotel, Eaglesham. As I left home it was a cold wet damp day and during the journey I must have seen every season possible:(

When I arrived it really didn’t get much better and unfortunately it certainly curtailed the outside shots. However, we did brave the cold to catch some group shots, and no less coaxing out ALL the women was no mean feat:)

Andy & Mel were quite relaxed and great about it all and we quickly setup an area inside the Hotel foyer and set about the group shots. A BIG thank you to Richy (Bestman) for helping me round up the guest which made the whole process go much quicker. Here are a few from the day which include the first dance and the next thereafter.

Ayrshire Wedding Photographer – St Cuthberts Church & Seamill Hydro Hotel

Ayrshire wedding photographer, on Friday 6th April I headed for the wedding of Dave & Lauren here on the Ayrshire coast. Laurens preparations were in the Seamill Hydro Hotel and I met up with her there for a short time before heading to St Cuthberts Church, Ardrossan.

Both of them being from Manchester are probably used to some rain, but it was really cold on the day, however this didn’t dull the senses or dampen the spirits:)

We spent very little time outside and used the feature fireplace in the Seamill Hydro for some of the traditional type photo’s. I did setup some strobe lights and reflective umberella’s to control the lighting, which worked very well. Lauren being a hardy lass did however want to venture down onto the beach, and of course Dave and I certainly obliged.

Being the Easter weekend I would say it wasn’t just a GOOD Friday, but a great Friday and everyone had a great time, here is a small selection from the day
